COLUMBUS – Columbus police detectives and the Columbus Homeland Security Section are investigating why a 30-year-old Northeast Side man deliberately rammed his vehicle through the front doors of a West Side childcare center Friday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Sullivant Avenue on a report of auto accident with injuries at 1:50 p.m., Sgt. Doug Jones of the Felony Assault Unit said.
They found Maurice Marshall (right) inside his vehicle, which had struck the Babies and Beyond Child Care Center, Jones said.
Police charged Marshall with felonious assault after witnesses told detectives that he deliberately drove his vehicle into the business.
