COLUMBUS – Police have charged a 59-year-old man with murder after he allegedly shot his niece and nephew, killing the 12-year-old girl.
Cheyenne Stewart died when she was shot inside a home on Kenview Road South Sunday afternoon.
Officers responding to the reported shooting found ThiaJuan Green, 10, at a home across the street with a gunshot wound to his upper body, Homicide Unit investigators said. Green was listed in critical condition at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and was expected to survive.
Milous Keith III (right) was charged with murder and felonious assault.
The Columbus Dispatch reports Keith is the children’s uncle and the children were watching television with their grandmother when the shooting happened.
This is the 51st homicide of the year in Columbus.
