COLUMBUS, Ohio – A Southeast Side man is accused of shooting his wife to death while the two struggled over a handgun during an argument Thursday morning.
Columbus homicide detectives say Bryon Brisco and his wife, Sofia, were arguing inside their town home on Shore Boulevard East shortly after 8:30 a.m.
As they fought for control of a gun, the weapon fired, hitting Sofia Brisco, 29, in the chest. She died later at Grant Medical Center, police said.
Bryon Brisco, 44, was charged with murder.
This is the eighth homicide of 2015 in Columbus.
