Police had not named any suspects by early Friday in the shooting death of Prince Michael Jackson outside Rachel’s Gentlemen’s Club, 6065 Channingway Boulevard, Homicide Unit Sgt. Jeff Strayer said.

Officers called to the area on the report of shooting outside the club at approximately 2:36 a.m. found Jackson, 35, near the adjacent Chase Bank parking lot on Brice Road suffering from a gunshot wound, Strayer said.

Jackson was taken to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 3:11 a.m.

Strayer says witnesses told investigators that Jackson was involved in an altercation at the club earlier and that they believed the shooting was related to that fight.

The investigation continues.
