COLUMBUS – A 19-year-old man who was shot and thrown from a car on an East Side street late Wednesday night is the 67th homicide victim of 2015 in Columbus.
Officers called to the 4700 block of McAllister Avenue just before 10:45 p.m. on a report of an injured man who had been pushed out of a car found Tyler Smith critically injured from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Homicide Unit Sgt. Jeffrey Strayer said.
Whitehall medics took Smith to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead about a half hour later.
