COLUMBUS – Police have named no suspects or motive in the slaying of a 21-year-old man in a Northeast Side apartment complex Tuesday night.
Police responded to the area of 2484 Goldengate Square, in the Abbey Lane Apartment Homes, at 9:06 p.m. to a report that someone had been shot, said Sgt. Stanley Latta of the Homicide Unit.
Muhannad Osman Ahmed Afdal was taken to OSU Wexner Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 10:15 p.m., Latta said.
There were no known suspects or motives early Wednesday, he said.
This is the 81st homicide of 2017 in Columbus.
