COLUMBUS, Ohio – A 22-year-old man is in the hospital after bringing a brick to a gunfight on the Hilltop Tuesday night.
Aron Kinder was arguing with John Cochran, 52, in front of Cochran’s Wheatland Avenue home just before 9:00 p.m. when Kinder threw a brick at Cochran, hitting him in the head, Assault Unit Det. Michael Williams said.
Cochran pulled a pistol from his waistband and shot Kinder in the back as he was running away, Williams said.
Kinder was able to flag down a passing motorist to take him to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition, according to Williams.
