CLEVELAND (AP) — The Seattle Mariners snapped a six-game losing streak, pounding the Cleveland Indians 10-0.
Rookie Erik Swanson didn’t give up a hit until the sixth inning of his first win and Jay Bruce blasted a grand slam in the first as Swanson had little trouble handling the Indians, who came in batting an AL-low .215.
The right-hander lost his no-hit bid with two outs in the sixth on José Ramirez’s double.
Mitch Haniger hit a solo homer and Edwin Encarnación added a two-run shot for the Mariners.
