MBK: OSU earns No. 11 Big 10 tourney seed

COLUMBUS – Indiana used a hot start and held off a second-half Ohio State rally to beat the Buckeyes 96-92 Saturday afternoon in the regular season finale for both teams.

Ohio State and Indiana both finished the conference season with a record of 7-11 but the Hoosiers earned the No. 10 seed in this week’s Big Ten tournament based on tiebreakers.

Ohio State enters the tournament as the No. 11 seed and will face No. 14 Rutgers on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

Jae’Sean Tate led Ohio State with 20 points as the Buckeyes lost for the first time in three games.

Robert Johnson scored 26 points and James Blackmon Jr. added 22 points and eight rebounds for the Hoosiers.
