STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Tony Carr scored 16 of 30 points in the first half and Penn State beat No. 8 Ohio State 79-56.
Mike Watkins added 11 points and 10 rebounds for his tenth double-double of the season while Shep Garner and Josh Reaves added 13 and 10 points apiece for the Nittany Lions, who won their sixth game in seven tries since beating the Buckeyes in Columbus on Jan. 25.
C.J. Jackson scored 14 points while Keita Bates-Diop had 10 for the Buckeyes, who shot only 38.9 percent from the field and were 2-15 from beyond the 3-point line.
