COLUMBUS – Columbus police say two men apparently shot each other to death in the parking lot of a Southeast Side apartment complex.
A caller reported finding a man lying on the ground with a gun lying next to him in the parking lot on LaGrange Drive at 3:41 p.m. and officers who responded to the report found him, as well as a second victim sitting in a nearby Jeep Cherokee, Sgt. Eric Pilya said.
The two men, identified as Trever Williams, 31, and Michael McKee, 35, were pronounced dead at the scene, the city’s 62nd and 63rd homicides of the year.
The reason for the deadly exchange of gunfire is still under investigation, Pilya said.
