COLUMBUS – Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott has apologized for the critical comments he made about play calling after Saturday’s loss to Michigan State.
The 8th-ranked Buckeyes (10-1, 6-1 Big Ten) travel to Ann Arbor Saturday
He says it was the wrong time to make it known he would not be returning to school next season.
Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer says Elliott will not be disciplined and that he agreed the star junior should have carried the ball more in Saturday’s loss.
“Frustration, anger, all of that, probably mounted up a lot… I couldn’t disagree with him, his comments, that he should have got the ball a little bit more. But that’s not the place to do it. He knows that,” Meyer said.
