“Michael Myers” robs store

COLUMBUS, Ohio – He was armed with a gun, not a chainsaw, but the man who held up a Southeast Side convenience store early Thursday morning looked a lot like Michael Myers of “Halowe’en” infamy, according to Columbus police.

The man, wearing a mask fashioned after the one worn by the seemingly indestructible horror-movie killer, walked into the Thornton’s at 3898 Alum Creek Drive shortly after 1:30 a.m. and produced a black handgun.

He demanded the money from the cash registers and cigarettes and, when the clerk complied, he walked away southbound, detectives with the Robbery Unit said.

The suspect is described a white man, 25-30 years old, 5’9″/200 lbs. and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, black jeans, tan work boots, police sid.
