Romain Métanire played in a diagonal cross, which Brent Kallman headed back across the 6-yard box, and Finlay was waiting near the far post for the tap-in.
Columbus has lost seven of its last eight matches.
Crew SC (5-8-1, 16 pts.) travels to Colorado to take on the Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Saturday (9:00 p.m./SportsTime Ohio).
