Missing K-9 deputy found

COLUMBUS – A southeastern Ohio sheriff’s K-9 deputy is back with her handler after being missing for six days.

Ilka, a Belgian Malinois, was playing with her handler, Deputy Rick Torchick, at their home just outside of Laurelville Sunday evening when Ilka saw a deer and chased the animal, according to an advisory from the Pickaway County Sheriff’s office.

The Hocking County Sheriff’s Office reported via social media Friday morning that Ilka had been recovered and reunited with Deputy Torchick.
