Detectives with the Missing Person Unit, investigating the disappearance of the 61-year-old woman learned that her vehicle had been impounded to the Division of Police impound lot, homicide detectives said.
When a Missing Persons Unit detective asked personnel at the lot to check Yuill’s vehicle they found the body of a woman positively identified as Yuill during an autopsy on Tuesday, police said.
The initial investigation and the autopsy revealed no signs of trauma or visible signs of foul play but investigators are waiting on findings from toxicology to determine the exact cause of death.
She had been reported missing on March 10. Columbus police didn’t say when the vehicle was taken to the lot. They also didn’t disclose whether they believe Yuill died before or after the vehicle was towed.
The investigation continues.
