Mitchell makes history

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Kelsey Mitchell became Ohio State’s all-time leading scorer in the first quarter and the 12th-ranked Buckeyes beat Florida 103-77.

Mitchell, who leads the nation with 25.7 points per game, needed just eight points to tie the record and she broke it on a runner in the lane.

Mitchell passed Jantel Lavender who scored 2,818 career points from 2007-11.

Sierra Calhoun was 3-of-6 from long range and 8-of-8 from the line to finish with a season-high 21 points.
