MP detachment returns from Afghanistan

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Families and friends of 72 Ohio National Guard soldiers will be waiting at Franklin Heights High School this afternoon, looking forward to welcoming the servicemen and women home from a deployment in Afghanistan.

The soldiers are members of the Headquarters Detachment of the 437th Military Police Battalion, which provided security and force protection operations for a special operations task force, Guard spokesman Master Sgt. William Pierce said,

Pierce says the unit also provided “accurate, actionable and current” intelligence to out-stations and fine-tuned security procedures.
