COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Clippers’ offensive woes continued Tuesday night as they fell to Toledo 4-1, their sixth straight loss.
Ross Seaton (1-1) held the Clippers to just two hits, while striking out five, in six shutout innings. Michael Roth (5-1) took the loss for Columbus.
It was a clear case of too little, too late for the Clippers, whose only run came in the bottom of the seventh inning, when they were already trailing 3-0. James Ramsey doubled to left and scored on Audy Ciriaco’s double, but Ciriaco was one of six stranded Clipper base runners.
The two teams wrap up the Columbus portion of their home-and-home series Wednesday at 11:35 a.m.
