Mud Hens 4, Clippers 3

COLUMBUS – The Clippers and Mud Hens combined for 24 hits but Toledo ended up on top, 4-3, at the end of the game Sunday to earn a split of the teams’ four-game series at Fifth Third Field.

Matt Hall (2-0) gave up six hits but struck out nine batters in 6 1/3 innings to earn the win for Toledo and Daz Cameron went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the second inning and scored a run.

Will Vest got Ryan Flaherty to ground out for the game’s final out, stranding Eric Stamets on third base with the tying run.

Evan Mitchell (0-1) took the loss for the Clippers who return home for a six-game home stand starting Tuesday night.
