TOLEDO – The Clippers were unable to earn a three-game sweep during their stop in Toledo as the Mud Hens won the series finale 6-1 Thursday.
Toledo starter Buck Farmer (4-5) held the Clippers to five hits while striking out five hitters over six innings of work. The only run he surrendered, and the only one Columbus scored, was Jesus Aguilar’s solo home run in the 4th inning.
Alex Presley went 3-for-5 for the Mud Hens, including a double and a triple and notched two RBI.
Having won five games during a seven-game road trip, the Clippers return home to begin a nine-game home stand with a 7:15 p.m. game against Syracuse Friday.
