COLUMBUS – The Clippers fell to the Toledo Mud Hens 6-4 in the opening game of a six-game series at Huntington Park Tuesday night.
The Mud Hens jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning, thanks in part to a Clippers error.
Gabriel Arias knocked in three runs with a bases-loaded double off releiver Michael Pineda to get Columbus within a run at 5-4 in the seventh but Pineda and Miguel Del Pozo preserved the win for Eduardo Rodriguez (1-0).
