TOLEDO – Aderlin Rodriguez broke a 7-7 tie with a solo home run in the eighth inning to give the Toledo Mud Hens an 8-7 win over the Clippers Wednesday night.
The Clippers battled back from deficits of 3-0 and 7-3 to tie the score on Oscar Gonzalez’s two-run homer during a four-run seventh inning before Rodriguez hit the game-winning homer off reliever Kevin Herget (7-4).
Nolan Blackwood (4-0) got the win for Toledo.
Isaac Paredes and Zach Short also hit homers for the Mud Hens.
Gabriel Arias drove in three runs for the Clippers.
