COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Clippers were sometimes their own worst enemies in a 9-1 loss to the Mud Hens at Huntington Park Tuesday night.
Columbus committed two errors in the loss, which ended a four-game home field winning streak. The Clippers also notched two wild pitches and a passed ball.
Kyle Davies (8-8) allowed three runs in the fifth on the way to the loss. Shawn Hill (6-5) got the win.
The Mud Hens broke a one-all tie with three runs in the sixth and scored in every frame after that.
The Clippers and Mud Hens play the last of three at Huntington Park at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday.
