COLUMBUS – Police have identified the victim on a fatal shooting in North Linden last week.
Officers Sade Payne was found partially clothed and suffering from a gunshot wound in the 3600 block of Maize Road just after 5:20 a.m. on April 8 by officers responding to a 911 call from a woman who reported that there was a woman outside yelling and screaming, Sgt. Eric Pilya of the Columbus police Homicide Unit said.
Payne, 32, was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital where she was later pronounced dead, the 54th homicide victim of the year in Columbus.
There is no suspect information.
