Mystery child found

COLUMBUS – Franklin County authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a girl found wandering alone on the East Side early this morning.

Someone found the child, who is estimated to be approximately 2 years old, in an alley near Livingston and Fairwood Avenues at about 12:45 a.m. and flagged down a Columbus police officer, Franklin County Children Services spokesman Bruce Cadwallader said.

The girl is being cared for by Franklin County Children Services but her name and address of the child are unknown, Cadwallader said.

She is described as 3’1″ tall, weighing 32 pounds.
