Mystery statue

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A person claiming to be the owner of a mysterious sculpture has stepped forward and police reportedly say they have a “person of interest” but no suspect has been arrested in the theft of the Princess and the Fish two years ago.

The 2-foot-high bronze statue was stolen from a gallery on the South Side and turned up in a scrapyard. It is estimated to be worth $14,000

The semi-abstract statue is the work of Mark Yale Harris, an OSU graduate who says he owned the sculpture at the time of the theft, according to a report by ABC6/FOX28.

Harris moved to New Mexico in the 1990’s.
