COLUMBUS – Westerville Police Chief Joe Morbitzer, whose department lost two officers this year in a shooting, will be the guest speaker for the Dublin Police Department’s annual memorial service Friday afternoon.

The event will honor officers from Franklin, Delaware and Union counties who have been killed in the line of duty.
The event is part of National Police Week, May 13-19, as is a campaign known as Light Center Ohio Blue.
Until Thursday, May 17, businesses, organizations and neighborhoods throughout Central Ohio will be changing out their everyday light bulbs to those shining a blue light in honor of law enforcement and their families past, present, and future.
Lamar Advertising has also donated space on 11 local electronic billboards to promote the campaign.
