COLUMBUS – Organizers say approximately 18,000 runners will line up in the Arena District Sunday morning for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon and ½ Marathon, one of the leading such events in the nation.

A capacity of 6,000 full marathoners and 12,000 participants in the ½ Marathon have registered.
The event is the 17th largest U.S. marathon and largest in Ohio.
It has been ranked by Runner’s World as one of the top 20 marathons in the United States and by USA Today as one of the top 10 fall marathons.
There will be partial or full street closures from the start line on Long Street throughout the 26.2 miles of the marathon course and the 13.1 miles of the ½ marathon course. Closures will roads will be based upon the expected arrival times of the first and last athlete.
Spring Street, Long Street and Neil Ave. will open back up to traffic at 6:00 p.m.
