COLUMBUS – A 27-year-old man was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting in a Northeast Side apartment complex Wednesday night.
Police officers responding to multiple calls about a shooting in the 3800 block of Brentnell Boulevard at approximately 7:23 p.m. found Mohamed Abdi lying behind one of the buildings, Sgt. Stanley Latta of the Homicide Unit said.
Abdi was taken by Mifflin Township paramedics to Grant Medical Center where he died about three hours later, Latta said.
There were no known suspects or motives Thursday morning and Latta says the investigation is continuing.
This is the 83rd homicide of the year in Columbus.
