LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — J.T. Barrett passed for five touchdowns and ran for two others, and Ohio State (6-1, 4-0 Big Ten) scored on its first eight possessions on its way to a 56-14 victory over Nebraska.

The victory was Ohio State’s 500th Big Ten conference win, coming on the same day as arch-rival Michigan’s 500th conference win, a 27-20 overtime victory over Indiana.

Ohio State now has an all-time Big Ten record of 500-173-24 in its 105th season while the Wolverines’ record is 500-203-18 in 111 seasons.

Barrett accounted for seven touchdowns, tying the single-game school record.

With 633 yards of total offense, OSU set a school record with its fifth consecutive game of 500 or more yards of total offense.

The Buckeyes (6-1, 4-0 Big Ten) continued their dominant surge since their loss to Oklahoma last month, tying their school record with a fourth straight game of scoring 50-plus points.

They get a week off before their East Division showdown with third-ranked Penn State.
