Not guilty plea in deadly crash

DELAWARE, Ohio (AP) – The driver of a tractor-trailer involved in a four-vehicle Delaware County crash that killed two people and injured three has pleaded not guilty to charges including vehicular homicide.

Authorities say Randall G. Lee, 58, of Christiana, Tenn., was driving a tractor-trailer Wednesday morning on U.S. Route 23 at the intersection state Route 229 in northern Delaware County when he rear-ended an SUV, and pushed it into another, says Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Ty Skaggs.

Skaggs says the vehicles slid into the intersection, where at least one collided with a pickup truck.

A man and woman in the first SUV — Curtis and Patricia Dixon, of Howell, Michigan — were killed. The drivers of the pickup truck and second SUV suffered less serious injuries. A woman riding in the pickup was flown to a hospital.

WCMH-TV reports Lee pleaded not guilty Thursday to two counts of vehicular homicide and one count of failure to stop within an assured clear distance.

No attorney is listed for Lee.
