COLUMBUS – A streak of 22 scoreless innings at home cost the Clippers the final two games of a three-game series against Lehigh Valley.
The IronPigs shut out Columbus 12-0 Saturday night and 9-0 on Sunday.
Jerad Eickhoff (2-0) pitched eight innings of shutout ball Sunday, allowing the Clippers only four hits.
Michael Roth (7-7) was tagged for seven runs in the fourth inning to take the loss for Columbus.
The wheels came off for Roth immediately, with a leadoff homer by Aaron Altherr and a three-run home run by Erik Kratz before Roth was able to record an out.
The IronPigs outhit Columbus 29-11 in the two Lehigh Valley wins.
The Clippers travel to Louisville for three games before returning home to face Gwinnett on Friday.
