COLUMBUS – The Clippers lit up the scoreboard and fireworks lit up the sky over Huntington Park following a 9-1 victory over the Toledo Mud Hens in the opening game of a six-game series Monday night.
Will Benson and Bryan Lavastida hit home runs for Columbus and Aaron Pinto (2-1) gave up up no hits or runs in getting the win.
