COLUMBUS (AP) — Columbus police say one of their officers is expected to recover after being shot and critically injured as he and a colleague tried to arrest someone at a house on the Northeast Side.
POLICE INVOLVED SHOOTING:
Today, May 28, 2020 at 8:21am a Columbus police Officer was shot at 3204 Chelford Dr. (NE Cbus).
The officer was critically injured.

Police chief Thomas Quinlan said the officer in Thursday morning’s shooting is out of surgery.
A witness told The Columbus Dispatch she saw police walk a woman from the house on Chelford Drive shortly after the shooting.
The Dispatch reported the other officer suffered a hand injury.
The leader of a local police union says the officers were part of an operation involving multiple agencies.
