Officers fired, suspended over Daniels arrest

COLUMBUS – Four Columbus police officers have been fired or suspended as a result of the 2018 arrest of adult film star Stormy Daniels at a Northeast Side strip club.

Columbus Public Safety Director Ned Pettus Jr., upheld discipline recommendations by Division of Police Chief Thomas Quinlan arising from the arrests of Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, and two local women at Sirens Gentleman’s Club in July 2018.

Quinlan has recommended Officers Whitney Lancaster and Steve Rosser be fired and Lt. Ron Kemmering be suspended for 240 hours and Sgt. Scott Soha for 120 hours.

The Fraternal Order of Police promised an appeal on their behalf.

Daniels was arrested by officers with the now-disbanded Vice Section.
on suspicion of inappropriately touching an undercover officer following a performance but the charges were dropped.

Daniels claimed to have had an affair with Donald Trump before he was elected president.

The arrests, which were deemed inappropriate, were one of the factors that led to the disbanding of the vice unit last year.

Daniels sued the city over the incident.
