KINGMAN, Ariz. – A man wanted in the killing an elderly Ohio couple and armed robberies in three states was captured after leading police on a high-speed chase in Arizona Thursday, according to the FBI.
Authorities say Robert Clark (above) and robbery suspect Tabatha Hazel were caught after Clark’s van became stuck on a dirt road. Clark is a suspect in the abduction and killings last month of an elderly Ohio couple.
Also arrested was Jeffrey Caley Jr., 28, an alleged accomplice of Clark and Hazel who was taken into custody after fleeing from law enforcement in northwest Arizona.
Authorities say Clark, 29, led Mojave County sheriff’s deputies on a high-speed chase after they tried to pull over his van on Interstate 40. Clark and Hazel, 26, were caught after Clark’s van became stuck on a dirt road.

Clark and Jeffery Stewart, 21 (right)), have been charged with murder in the deaths of 88-year-old Doyle Chumney and his 79-year-old wife, Lillian. Their remains were found inside their torched car on a country road Jan. 22, the day after they were reported missing from their home.
Caley and Hazel aren’t suspects in the slayings but are believed to have been with Clark during several bank robberies over the weekend of Jan. 30 – Feb. 1.
