COLUMBUS – OhioHealth says it will give back a portion of the more than 1.1 million personal protective equipment items such as, face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and supplies donated to area hospitals in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
With PPE and other supplies replenished and becoming more readily available, the healthcare company says it will donate more than 100,000 items to people in need.

There were 42,010 confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in Ohio on Tuesday and 2,597 deaths.
The R0 number – known as the “R naught” number — for the state, which is the rate at which COVID-19 is transmitted, measured at 0.87 on June 7, meaning one person on average infects less than one person.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that COVID-19’s R0, without interventions, is 2.5.
The R0 number for central Ohio is 0.93.
The number declined slightly in the Dayton area over the week and the state is beginning to see the R0 plateau in southern and southeastern Ohio (Region 7 and 8 on map).
