One dead in double shooting

COLUMBUS – Police are investigating a shooting on the South Side Tuesday that left a man dead and another injured.

Officers responding to a call in the 1700 block of S. 6th Street, south of the intersection with Woodrow Avenue, just before 4:30 p.m. found two men inside the home at of 1720 S. 6th Street, suffering from gunshot wounds, according to homicide investigators.

Dajuan Hartley, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene while Dewayne Darrington, also 32, was taken to Grant Medical Center in stable condition, police said.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide and a case of felonious assault.

Police say there were no known suspects or motives early Wednesday.
