One week to go

COLUMBUS – The final week before the presidential election is underway amid a new email scandal for Democrat Hillary Clinton and refreshed accusations that Republican Donald Trump cannot be trusted with the nation’s nuclear arsenal.

Campaigning in Kent and Cincinnati yesterday, Hillary Clinton criticized Trump for talking “casually” about nuclear weapons and wondered if the Republican knows that a single warhead can kill millions of people.

Clinton was introduced by a former nuclear launch control officer who said that if Trump were president, he would “have no faith in his judgment.”

Donald Trump is launching into the last week before Election Day with a harsh new attack against Democrat Hillary Clinton, now that the FBI is looking at more emails that could be linked to her case.

Trump says Clinton being elected president “would mire our government and our country in a constitutional crisis that we cannot afford.”

She also said the FBI has no case as it looks through more emails that could be connected to the scandal surrounding her private server.

National polls are showing a tightening presidential race. But with more than 23 million ballots already cast through early voting, it’s unclear whether Trump can improve his standing over the next week in states like Michigan, where few political professionals expect a Republican victory.
