COLUMBUS – It will be a meeting of 21st Century technology and old-fashioned shopping when Amazon’s second brick-and-mortar clothing store opens Tuesday at Easton Town Center.

As shoppers examine the clothing items available at Amazon Style technology and machine learning algorithms help find a personalized selection of styles available to try on in an interactive fitting room (right).
When customers see something they like, they scan the item’s QR code to pick colors, patterns and sizes and employees will send their selections to their individualized interactive fitting room.
Each fitting room is equipped with a touchscreen letting customers request additional items to try on without having to leave.
“Gone are the days where a customer has to get dressed, go out and pick that other size or pick another color to try on. This simplifies all of that with a button,” Monica Ravi, Director of Operations and Supply Chain, said.
Machine learning algorithms update in near real-time and suggest additional items.
When it’s time to check out, shoppers hold their palm above an Amazon One device at the register or using the credit card already on file in their Amazon account.
The store also accepts traditional payment methods including cash and credit card.
