OSU announces fall reopening plans

COLUMBUS – OSU officials say the university will reopen in the fall with at least 75% of classes held in person and classrooms that hold fewer than 50 students filled to capacity.

Dorms will revert to a more traditional setup, with visitors permitted and an estimated capacity of 15,200 students, officials told the Board of Trustees this week

The university credits the success of the COVID-19 vaccines with giving them the chance to “reinvigorate” campus life.

The university also plans to increase tuition and fees for incoming Ohio freshmen by 3.8% — or $418 — which will be frozen for four years.
