COLUMBUS – The 2022 Ohio State football season will kick off on primetime television in September.

The university Department of Athletics announced Tuesday that ABC will carry the Buckeyes’ season opener against Notre Dame at Ohio Stadium on Sept. 3 and ESPN’s College GameDay will be on campus earlier in the day.
Game time for the Notre Dame game will be 7:30 p.m.
ABC will also carry the Ohio State vs. Wisconsin game three weeks later. The start time for that game still has not been determined.
College GameDay will be visiting the OSU campus for a record 21st time.
Ohio State also ranks first among all programs for overall GameDay appearances with 53 and first for GameDay wins with 37.
FOX announced earlier this week that it would televise the Nov. 26 regular-season finale against Michigan game at Ohio Stadium at noon.
Additional 2022 game times and television networks are expected to be announced later in May, department officials said.
