OSU earned the No. 10 seed in the West Region while the Rams are No. 7. The meeting will be the first matchup between the Buckeyes and Atlantic 10 Conference champion VCU (26-9).

Ohio State is not widely expected to repeat its record run of four consecutive Sweet 16’s, accomplished between 2010 and 2013.
While led by head coach Thad Matta, the Buckeyes have compiled a 17-8 tournament record. The players on Matta’s roster this year has 30 games of combined NCAA tournament experience and 10 starts.
