COLUMBUS – The Buckeyes held onto the No. 3 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings.
The playoff selection committee released its second weekly standings Tuesday night and Clemson remained at the top following a crucial win over Florida State on Saturday.
Alabama leap-frogged the Buckeyes, moving up two spots to No. 2, after knocking off previous No. 2 LSU.
Notre Dame has moved into the top four. Like the Crimson Tide, the Fighting Irish have one loss.
Unbeaten Iowa was promoted four spots to No. 5, and Baylor is the highest-ranked Big 12 team at No. 6.
LSU, No. 2 last week, dropped to No. 9 after losing at Alabama.
