OSU’s Mikesell draft by Indiana in WNBA

COLUMBUS – Buckeye Taylor Mikesell was selected by the Indiana Fever with the 13th overall pick in Monday night’s WNBA draft.

The guard from Massillon became the 17th player in Ohio State history to be selected in draft.

After playing at Maryland and Oregon, Mikesell spent the past two seasons with the Buckeyes, amassing more than 1,000 points while setting a school record for free throw percentage (.878).

She ranks second in program history in three-point percentage at .442, fourth in three-pointers made with 230 and 25th in points with 1,215.

Mikesell spent her first two seasons at Maryland, where she was named the 2019 Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
