COLUMBUS – A person was killed Monday night while walking on a West Side street.
Javier Gualito was driving eastbound on W. Broad Street near Coolidge Avenue in Franklin Township when his pickup struck a pedestrian in the roadway, Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said.
Deputies and personnel from the Franklin Township Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene but the pedestrian, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene, Baldwin said.
Gualito, 57, was uninjured.
There was no information on whether any charges would be filed.
