COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ameryst Alston was the only Buckeye to score in double figures as Ohio State fell to Penn State 66-42 at University Park, Penn., Thursday night.
Ohio State (12-8, 2-2) was dominated by the Nittany Lions defense, which held the Buckeyes to 29% shooting from the field and pulled down 34 rebounds under OSU’s basket, converting them to 18 second-chance points.
Alston scored 12 points. Cait Craft was next-highest in the scoring column with six.
Maggie Lucas’s 18 points paced the Nittany Lions (12-4, 3-1) who jumped out to a 29-21 halftime lead and pulled away in the second half.
