WESTERVILLE — Police have reportedly arrested a man who may be a suspect in the death of a woman jogger killed in a suspected hit-and-run in Westerville Monday.
Police arrested Jonathon Coffman, 32, on OVI charges, according to a report by WBNS 10-TV.
Westerville Police Chief Joe Morbitzer says the man is a person of interest in the woman’s death and Franklin County Municipal Court records show Coffman is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide in connection with the death of Linda Evans, the television station reported.
Westerville police say they received a call around 9:45 a.m. Monday about a body spotted on Park Meadow Road near Shrock Road.
Authorities say the body of the 66-year-old Evans was found in the bushes, a few feet from the road. Police believe the Columbus woman was running when she was struck.
Police located the suspected vehicle involved in the hit-and-run outside an office building. They say the vehicle was registered under Coffman’s name.
