Petition suggests medical marijuana for Browns, Bengals fans

COLUMBUS – Fans of Ohio’s professional football teams will have to keep drowning their sorrows as being a supporter of the Cleveland Browns or Cincinnati Bengals will probably not make the list of conditions that would qualify for medical marijuana.

Petitions received by the State Medical Board of Ohio to add conditions to the list of those that qualify for a doctor to recommend medical marijuana for patients include being a fan of the woeful Bengals or Browns.

Don’t expect that proposal to make it very far as a board committee reviews the petitions next month.

In the second round of petitions, the board is again being asked to consider adding anxiety and autism spectrum disorders to the list.

Board members consider information from medical experts and scientific evidence before deciding whether to add a condition to the list.
